Current Affairs - The opinions of a grumpy old pouf

Time to contact the board of beyondblue

beyondblue CEO Dawn O'Neil has further distanced the organisation from Jeff Kennett

"O’Neil said the views expressed were Kennett’s alone and don’t reflect the views of the organisation.

“They are absolutely the views of Jeff Kennett and I can give you a strong assurance that beyondblue continues to be solidly committed to working with the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual and intersex community, particularly to address the high rates of depression and anxiety as a result of discrimination,” O’Neil told the Star Observer."

But, gracious lady that she is, she declined to comment on calls to have Kennett stood down over the remarks.

‘It’s a decision for him and the board not me,” she said, “I understand some people are not happy with his comments and I would encourage people to contact him and talk to him about that.”

Really Long Link

I doubt talking to Jeff will do much good, but it might be a good idea to contact members of the board.

Search for addresses

If you have any contact details for any of them, please pass them along and I will post them all here, e.g., some are on Facebook, Twitter etc., some you will find by Googling. Netizens, it;s over to you!
