The score should be love-all

Sarah Hanson-Young, Greens’ spokesperson for GLBTI
The Australian Greens have joined a call for the sporting community to stand up for the rights of Gay Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (GLBTI) members of our community.
“Sport has the power to lift people up and it should never be a force for discrimination and hate,” Greens’ spokesperson for sport, Senator Richard Di Natale said.
“We must ensure that sport continues to unite communities and bring people together.
“Margaret Court was a tennis champion who deserves the accolades she has received for her contribution to her sport, however her suggestion that sexuality is something that can be ‘overcome’ is wrong and dangerous,” Greens’ GLBTI spokesperson, Sarah Hanson-Young, said.
“We don’t support her remarks, and urge Tennis Australia and other major bodies to also oppose them.”
Richard Di Natale, Sarah Hanson-Young and Greens MP Adam Bandt therefore join the call for Tennis Australia to:
• Support the display of Rainbow Paraphernalia at the Australian Open and at Margaret Court Arena in particular in its final week of matches.
• Publicly commit to the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission “Fair Go Sport” campaign to promote sexual and gender diversity.
