FRESHLY DOUG THURSDAY JULY 15
9am to Noon this Thursday, one of the last shows before the election?
POLITICS, JAZZ AND A MANKINI
Well it’s certainly starting to get political round these parts! Today we have an array of candidates for you from Labor, the Greens and the Sex Party.
Janet Rice is hosting a jazz night for the Greens in the state seat of Footscray, Cath Bowtell is taking Lindsay Tanner’s place in the federal seat of Melbourne, and Austen Tayshus will be campaigning for the Australian Sex Party round Sydney’s Northern beaches wearing a mankini.
INVISIBLE LESBIANS
Daniel Witthaus’s tour challenging homophobia in rural and regional Australia. His latest temporary home was Brisbane, where he encountered a very supportive family and heard about the comparative invisibility of indigenous lesbians.
NO MORE HIDE & SEEK
And speaking of mankinis, the delectable Dean Beck from Joy’s own sex show, Hide & Seek, is my special guest on Digging Deeper today. Let’s see if we can drag him into the daylight, so to speak.
THE REGULARS
Sydney Star Observer and Southern Star journalist Andrew Potts will be calling in with the latest from the Emerald City.
And Will Conyers joins me with the latest from the world of theatre, as Equity Fights AIDS once more.
