Marriage Matters – Rudd ignores conference
The Rudd administration will ignore the cosmetic changes made to the equal marriage policy at the recent Labor conference and stick with the existing failed policy of state-based relationship registers and the definition of marriage as one-man-one-woman. Harley Dennett has the details.

The Senate Enquiry into the MARRIAGE EQUALITY BILL closes to submissions Friday, so get writing! Details here Really Long Link and here Really Long Link

Party drugs have been blamed by some for fuelling unsafe sex, but Kane Race from the University of Sydney says they had a positive effect: they helped create the sense of community that marked the gay community’s efforts to combat AIDS. He also thinks the ‘war on drugs’ is at best hypocritical and at worst, counterproductive.
