BEHIND THE HEADLINES IN HAITI
First up we’ll be heading to Haiti with the CEO of Action Aid Archie Law - you may remember him as the drummer with Huxton Creepers - to give us the lowdown on the real story behind the situation there, why the earthquake was so devastating – and need not have been – and what is happening on the ground now.
A COOK BOOK
If you read MCV you’ll know the name Rachel Cook, but what you may not know is that as well as writing clever columns she’s also written A Book – a gay Australian history book for teenagers called Closets are for Clothes.
A PALER SHADE OF GREEN
Rodney Croome reporting from Tasmania, where the Green party has split over the issue of gay marriage, and there’s a new breakaway party that environmentally friendly but socially conservative.
PINK IN PERTH
News too from Perth with Kiti, from Families for Freedom and their plans for Valentines Day celebration of Equal Love. Don't let our love be invisible on Valentines Day!
ANGLICAN ATTITUDES
As always between 10 and 11 I spend an hour with someone special. Today’s guest is Meredith Rogers, from the Anglican church group Changing Attitudes, which seeks greater acceptance for the GLBTI community within the church. She will also be the preacher at the annual St Dorothy Day Midsumma Mass at St Agnes church, Glen Huntly on Friday, but she’s also been an engineer specialising in acoustics, a pianist and french horn player and a management consultant.
THE REGULAR CREW
And the regulars: Andrew Potts from Sydney Star Observer, Will Conyers from Broadway at Bedtime, and the RSPCA on recycling sheets, towels and older moggies
